It looks like Obama easily beat the spread in North Carolina, and the margin in Indiana is creeping close to the spread though not there yet. So far we can draw the following conclusions:

Matt Yglesias has a prediction about tonight’s results. He’s a little more pessimistic about the margins than I am but the overall sentiment strikes me as sensible considering all of the other results so far.

Well sports fans, the polling averages for NC and IN at RealClearPolitics shifted today to Obama +8 and Clinton +5, the exact same margins I used to set the line in yesterday’s prediction. Results tonight…
